October 2026 Update
Hello Dahlia Enthusiasts,
What an amazing growing season we’ve had on Vancouver Island this year! Lots of sunny days coupled with lower than average temperatures have made the dahlias in my field very happy. Despite frequent harvesting for bouquets, some plants reached over 8 feet tall (looking at you Wine Eyed Jill and Gitt’s Crazy)! Fingers crossed that this means a solid tuber harvest and lots of new options for you, my lovely customers.
Once we get the plants dug and divided in November, I will restock 10% of tubers in early December and the rest as they eye up into the new year. Please add yourself to the list to be notified when I restock the varieties you are interested in. This is done by clicking on the variety, then selecting “add to list” and providing your email. When your dahlia is restocked, the website will send you an email, and you hop on and buy it. I recommend being quick about it, as there is a lot of competition for some varieties.
You are welcome to make multiple orders, which I will automatically combine if you place them under the same name and email address. Shipping is a flat rate of $25 through Canada Post to be paid on your first order, then to avoid paying for shipping again on subsequent orders, choose “Farm Pickup”. If you live locally and want to pick up from the Farm Stand here at 1682 Stelly’s Cross Road in Saanichton, simply choose “Farm Pickup” on all orders. Unfortunately, I do not ship overseas or to the US.
My goal is to send you healthy, accurately labeled tubers with visible eyes or sprouts. Plants on my farm are culled aggressively if disease is suspected early on in the season.
