Notes: Move over Café au Lait! There’s a new Queen of the Dahlias in town, Bloomquist Jean. These blooms are stunning, with recurved petals in orange softly streaked with golden yellow. Created by dahlia hybridizer Paul Bloomquist of Lynden, Washington and named for his friend and fellow hybridizer Jean Heeringa! This is my personal favourite and I am in total awe of her beauty. I don’t have many pictures because blooms were picked a little too quickly. She is a later bloomer, so might not be your best option if you have a shorter growing season.
