Notes: Cornel is a classic beauty with ball shaped blooms in a rich shade of red. It is very floriferous, has attractive foliage, and weather resistant blooms, all on a sturdy plant. It is fantastic in the garden and also has long, strong stems ideal for arrangements. Cornel was introduced in 1994 by Dutch hybridizers the Geerlings. I don’t have many pictures of this flower fully open because they get picked for bouquets before they get the chance.
