Height: 2 - 3’
Bloom: 3 - 4”, Single/ semi-double blooms coral with yellow centres
Notes: Wahoo! I finally got her! Waltzing Mathilda is a popular, informal single to semi-double dahlia known for her vivid peach, coral, and pink-orange twisted petals and striking dark burgundy-black foliage. She was the recipient of the prestigious UK’s RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2014. I don’t use her in bouquets as she tends to drop her petals when cut, but she is delightful in the garden and attracts all of the bees. This plant is ideal for containers, pots, and the front garden beds. Blooms early and continues until the first frost. Introduced in 2008 by RuRo-Plant in the Netherlands.
